In October of 2019 I needed a high lift door system with a side drive style motor installed. This raises the garage door to ceiling height for storage space without a typical motor in the garage ceiling.Steve came on time to do the install, and the project began. This is not a easy job. As a mechanic I watched Steve's progress from time to time. Steve has experience. It doesn't take long before you realize he is also a engineer. It is now January 2020. I waited to white this review, I wanted to test Steve's work. I have seen many commercial side drives and high lifts. I wanted to give this residential system a little work out so to speak!. Al from The Door Master came on Saturday to diagnose the misbehaving door on my two-car garage in downtown Toronto. He explained to me why the 15-year-old motor had to be replaced. He came on Sunday morning, and installed the replacement in one hour. The new closer works perfectly. It works quietly and efficiently. I see now just how poorly the old door opener performed. The new opener works so well it feels like a new luxury in our lives. I liked worked with Al. He explained everything, offered me several options, and did not try to sell me more than I needed. The Door Master did an amazing job installing both our new garage door and garage door opener. I called for a quote and someone came the next day. He was very professional, answered all of my questions, and gave me advice on what to look for in a garage door opener. I called and ordered the door on Thursday and it was installed on Tuesday. Wow!! I had called another door installer earlier in the week and also went to both Home Depot and Lowes and everyone else said it would take anywhere from 8-12 weeks to order a 2 car garage door this time of year (Christmas is coming). They were able to get everything done in less than one week!! The prices were also very competitive. Serge, my installer, was also very professional and efficient. He came at 3:30 pm and was finished everything around 6pm. He made sure everything was working smoothly, cleaned up, and showed me how to use the new garage door opener which was different from my old model. Thanks again Serge!We can't say enough about how impressed we are with the Door Master. We recommend them to everyone who needs a new garage door or repair service. Had 2 garage doors replaced 2 days ago. We were referred by a friend so we did no price comparisons. The Door Master installer, Serge, was very efficient and answered questions put to him and even offered more information and advice. Talking to neighbors afterwards, they all told us that the price we paid was very competitive. We chose insulated doors with glass. We would highly recommend this installer and company.

We had a cable issue and the tension was off on the spring in our garage door. Jack instantly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He was a perfectionist and had the door better balanced and working more smoothly than it did when it was first installed by the builder. The spring on my garage door recently broke, so after reading several reviews I called Door Master.Johnny was great! He called to say when he was coming and arrived promptly. He gave me a price and didn't try to give me products I didn't need. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. He made sure that I was satisfied with the work before I paid and that the garage door was operational once again. He cleaned up the work area and he even tightened other loose screws on my door without being asked. I recommend Door Master.

Johnny came within 10 minutes of the 3 hour window. He explained my options thoroughly and gave me a great competitive price. Simon from The Door Master was very prompt with my service call. He arrived on the scene and was very thorough with his diagnosis and recommendation. Not withstanding that I had a time constraint and had to be out of the house within 2 hours, he was able to complete all the required works very efficiently and on time.He repaired the damaged springs by replacing a broken part; fixed the cables in place and replaced the gear on the door opener, which was broken. What was more amazing was that he also had time to literally check and tighten every nut and bolt on the door and lubricated every moving part.For professionalism, courteous and very good pricing I am very satisfied.

5 Stars service.My garage door was not closing and the motor was making a bad sound. I called The Door Master at Noon and they said they would reach out to a technician. 15 minutes later they called me back to let me know someone would come by between 2pm and 4 pm. Dimitri came by looked at it and explained that the gear was not engaged properly. He showed me what to do in case that happens again. I land him the $29.00 for the service call and he refused to take it. Shocking!!! As a woman who knows nothing about garage doors, he could have take advantage but nope. I was so happy that there was nothing major with the door, thought the $29.00 for the service call and the educational session he gave me was worth more than that. I really recommend The Door Master to everyone. 5 Stars service and honest people!!!!

Had an issue with door making cracking sound going up or down. Opener was installed 10 months ago or so -- but they sent out theirtechnician to check it out for us. He did an Excellent job replacing a broken spring in my garage door, he also adjusted the garage door opener, and tied some loose screws at no extra cost. My garage door spring broke yesterday so I looked up companies for possible repair . I called Door Master because they were recommended by Home Stars . I decided to call and was greeted by a professional lady that directed me to a technician. I spoke with Steve and he was great in telling me what I needed and about how much it was going to cost .Within one day , Steve was here and had it all done in a short period of time . One of the cables on my garage door broke and the wheels were coming off the track. The door was stuck half way open, couldn't get it closed anymore. Called around lunch hour on a Sunday. Received a call back from the local company within 20 minutes. Was able to schedule someone to come on Sunday to fix it. Tim showed up within 2 hours. He replaced the cables and recommended replacing all the wheels with new ones. Tim did all the work quickly and professionally. Now our door glides on the tracks instead of banging and scraping. I highly recommend using this company for garage door issues. Prices are very reasonable.

Recently had a spring changed; Tim was very professional and took the time to explain to me how to maintain the door.Tim also suggested we change the wheels on our doors for a much quieter door, Before paying for the work he wanted me to test the door a couple times and if I was not satisfied he would put the old wheels back on needless to say the door is extremely quiet; I am very satisfied with the work.

We just had Al come to the house to re-attach the garage door cable after I tried to adjust it on my own. After an hour I managed to completely unhinge the cables and ended up with the door wedged in a partially open position. It took Al, the technician, under half an hour to fix the door and adjust it so that my wife could easily open it. Al was knowledgeable, professional and polite. I will be calling him back next month to install a garage door opener.
