The Door Master DIY- Re-engage the garage door opener

In our latest video, we showed you how to allow the garage door to open and close manually. As we explained at the end of the video, after we disengaged the garage door opener and allowed the door to be opened and closed manually, any stranger can come to your house and open the door from the inside or outside. To maintain the security of your home we will now explain to you how you can re-engage the garage door opener and make your garage lock and secure again.

Remember the red wire we talked about in the previous video? The one connected to the opener rail. All you need to do is pull it down and hear the click sound. Once you hear the click, the garage door should be locked and secure again. Try to lift it and see what happens.

In some cases, it can happen that even if you did exactly what we have just explained, the door will still open manually. If this happens to you, all you need to do is press the wall button so that the door will open all the way and close it back. Now your door is locked and safe again and no one will be able to open it except you.

The door does not close? Maybe your sensors have moved from their spot? Watch our video that explains exactly how to fix the problem yourself and save time and money.
